FAQ

All MBP panels are made from 10-Gauge steel of your choosing, stainless or mild.

We recommend stainless steel panels for exterior applications and mild steel panels for interior applications based on performance, longevity, and cost efficiency.

Our exterior panels are manufactured from 10-gauge stainless steel, offering excellent rust resistance, structural strength, and long-term durability. These panels are designed to perform reliably in all weather conditions, including rain, humidity, and temperature fluctuations, making them a low-maintenance, long-lasting exterior solution.

Our interior panels are manufactured from 10-gauge mild steel, which provides rust proof and strong structural performance at a cost-effective price point. While mild steel is ideal for controlled indoor environments, it is not recommended for exterior use, as prolonged exposure to moisture and harsh weather conditions can lead to corrosion over time.

To maximize value, we offer stainless steel panels at pricing comparable to mild steel, allowing customers to upgrade to a corrosion-resistant exterior solution with minimal impact on overall project cost. This ensures better longevity, reduced maintenance, and a stronger return on investment.

Yes, all MBP panels are powder coated for long-lasting durability. Our standard finish is an exterior-grade textured black, which provides excellent protection and an attractive appearance. You may choose a different powder coat color as an upgrade by contacting our office at 731-244-2442. Please note that custom colors require a special-order powder, which will affect both price and production time. Most powders average around $21 per pound, and the final cost will depend on the size and quantity of your panels.

Production typically takes 3–5 weeks, depending on the size of your order and the panel style. Once complete, your order ships directly from our facility.

Standard balcony panels are flat panels with the design cut directly into the metal. These panels do not include mounting holes, brackets, or a formed border. The most common installation method is to place the panel into your existing balcony opening and trim around all sides, effectively sandwiching the panel between them. Many customers use the same trim style already found in their home to create a clean, seamless appearance.

Our new panel design requires no welding at all. All components—including the handrail—are secured using high-strength stainless steel fasteners. This allows you to easily remove the handrail at any time during the life of the panel for repairs, repainting, or replacement due to damage or wear and tear. The result is a cleaner look, easier maintenance, and a longer-lasting installation.

Our bordered panels feature a 1-inch formed lip created using a 100-ton press, providing strength, rigidity, and a clean finished edge. This formed border is available on both stainless steel and mild steel panels. Along the length and ends of the border, we include pre-drilled 1/4-inch screw holes for fast, secure installation. To install, simply position the panel between your existing handrail, toe rail, and posts, then fasten it in place using the provided mounting holes. This design ensures a solid fit, easy alignment, and a professional appearance with minimal effort.

Yes, stainless steel is engineered to resist rust and corrosion. Its chromium-rich alloy forms a protective shield that keeps your balcony panels looking great for decades, even in tough outdoor conditions.
